I come from a middle-class family in the small town of Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. As a child, I aspired to be an engineer; however, as the saying goes, 'your destiny takes you to better places.' Eventually, I found myself where I was meant to be, engaging in work that aligned with my true calling. Despite my background as a science student, the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant (CA) was not initially in my plans. However, my father, a former banker, played a pivotal role in guiding me toward this career. With his encouragement, unwavering optimism, and family support, I successfully qualified for the Chartered Accountancy Exam in November 1996.
My professional journey began with Uflex Ltd., where I gained over four years of invaluable experience that significantly shaped my career. However, I always felt a deep desire to contribute meaningfully to the esteemed profession of Chartered Accountancy. In 1999, I established my own practice under the name Agarwal Atul & Associates, where I was fortunate to acquire esteemed clients such as the DS Group, Uflex Group, the National Institute of Open Schooling, Investors’ Clinic Group, the Central Board of Secondary Education, Northen Coalfields Ltd., United India Insurance Company Ltd., various public sector banks, and many others.
Having faced numerous challenges throughout my life, I have developed a strong resolve to excel in the CA profession. It was my father’s dream to see his son become an entrepreneur, and as I reflect on my journey, I am grateful for the encouragement and support from my family. The pursuit of my goals has been filled with enriching experiences and invaluable lessons.
Today, my firm, M/s. A A A M & CO LLP, is recognized as a Category-I firm eligible for Major Audits as well as per CAG norms with a presence PAN India and overseas, specializing in Audit and Assurance Services, Internal Audit, Company Law Matters, Statutory and Concurrent Audits for Banks, Direct Tax Laws, GST, and other related advisory services. Establishing this firm has required nearly 27 years of dedication and hard work. We are proud to serve a diverse array of esteemed clients, including public sector undertakings, corporate entities, and international companies, all of which contribute to our strong market presence."
